Slipping like a ballerina with no feet, and crumbling like the walls of your sanity as you rise ten miles high. In a few seconds, you realise it’s all over, but that’s never stopped you before. How does it make you feel to be all alone? How do you sleep at night knowing you’re just another body in a sea of limbs? Sometimes you’ve got to realise, that it’s what hurts the most that reminds you you’re still alive. The pain is the air in your lungs. It lets you know that all it takes is one wrong turn, and everything can come crashing down. The end is the great motivator. The destination we long for even if we think it’s what we dread. Surrender to an age where superstition is left behind in favour of creation. Great minds and hearts that burn for something that has no design. The world drowns, as do all the towns and cities, but the heart stays afloat even when there’s so little hope left. Even after everything, we persevere. So mindless is tomorrow when today is king. Yet don’t forget yesterday, for that’s where it all makes sense, and in the foggy dawns where things are so timeless, there shines the truth of who and what we are. To walk a different path, oh what a stupid thing. What a foolish chance to take, and yet there’s no other way. The limitations of man; just peel them back and watch in awe as everything shines brighter than a trillion suns. It’s in the stains on my teeth; it’s in the addictions that cripple so many, forever wishing to taste the mouth of God. Part the curtains like you part her hair and honor all that transcends those who wander without vision. You’re not like them, so stop pretending. Hold me close as we fall. Say it will be okay. Say the words that everyone else is afraid of speaking, and maybe for just a moment, we can be immortal like all those that have gone before us.
