x and i: a novel

a journal for damned lovers vol 1-3

Childhood

as daddy

boils water to kill ants

i say hello blue sky

hot and happy, sunday forever

playing games

at the foot of the garden

tomorrow far away

wasps and lemonade

freshly cut grass, flowers face up

with a dog chasing stones

monty, a boys best friend

afternoon car journeys

to swamps bigger than the sea

pine trees

one, two, three

smiles, true smiles

spreading like strawberry jam on toast

crunching

beneath baby teeth so tender

this is me, still me

somewhere deep inside

  1. How beautifully do we disguise the child within us. How comically damaged are we . Beautiful piece 🙂

    1. Comically damaged indeed! I like being a big kid though, makes me feel real. I’m glad you liked it 🙂

  2. so fun to picture you as an innocent child ❤

    1. Haha! I would never say I was innocent, but I was pretty cute I guess 😉 x

      1. I’m sure you were 😉
