Feathers for Fucking

She’s silent. Chemistry, something something. Lips open, and a tongue pressed against blood-red gums. Eyes like a cat. Bright and wide. A poem inside that defies holistic minds. She stalks the shadows. She walks the golden line between pornography and beauty. There’s more yet there isn’t. The stardust of youth for hardened veins. No breaking hearts, only the passing of emotions spent idly waiting for things to fall into place. Be suspicious of anyone who visits the gym. Be vigilant in the face of loneliness. Keep going. Head down. They’ll be a day when you come back around. Mirrors no mirrors, only love. Only seduction as the clouds swallow us whole. We’re circling the moon in a sky full dark, and they can’t bring us down. Eternal in the palm of your hand. Communication in the shells you keep in bottomless pockets. To believe in something beyond oneself. To seek perfection in what we can never be sure of. Bodies for a while, and then the rage of the cosmos to welcome us back home. Clip your nails and think of me as you writhe beneath the duvet. Turmoil as the sins of your mother keep racing to the surface. On the subway with a cute princess. See the tumbling skies. Breathe a sentence to the sounds of life. Twirl in circles on the edges of sharpened teeth. Darkened desires and a black swan to shatter thin ice. Through the haze of halcyon streets to the centre of neon despair. All the things I would do, If you’d just make yourself known. The landscape of angels and whores that take us to the outskirts of where we’ve never been before. Feathers for fucking and the limbs you feed me to make this last all night long. Be someone more than what they think. Strong jawline. Good hips. A mouth that knows only mine. And that’s exactly how it should stay, girl.

  1. After being absent from WP, I was really happy to see this piece in my feed. It’s fantastic. As always you imagery is so touching and haunted, with a hint of sunshine/reverie. Yay–thanks for posting this 🙂
