Adore

For her, I swim to the ocean floor and hunt puffa fish. Rising to the surface, I place them at her feet then suck the baby toe on her left foot. On Mount Olympus, we make love while the stench of whale guts haunts all those who get too close. She tastes of oranges, and it feels like hot plastic as my lips search her infinite pleasure zones. Wave after wave and soundless sounds as she brings my mouth to her breast. Beneath us we crush forests; we lay waste to nature without caution. As my fingers sink into the earth, she bites my ear as a flock of birds circle overhead. They form a halo, and as the sun gazes upon her belly, the heavens shake as deep within me the beast of my ancestors is unleashed. From the soil of Welsh melancholy, my rage is matched only by my tenderness. In clouds, we are siamese dreams. We are brother and sister eating from the holy tree. She wears the imaginary ring of another, but the love and lust we share is known only to God. Our religion is death, and each time we collide we chase it with all we’ve got. When the moment takes me, I rest my head against her chest. Seasons pass with every breath, and as all the towns and cities are ravaged by fire, the sensations we crave only increase. I’m the child of her heart, and she’s the mother of my child. We dance in sequence to the falling of skyscrapers; we plunge to the coming of winter. Once we were strangers, but now we are lovers, and for as long as the stars in the sky continue to shine, this fact will always remain. Our desires are as permanent as the atoms that bind us- they eclipse all. As we merge, there are only her cries that shatter each and every broken heart we left behind.

    1. I’m glad you see it that way. It was nice to just drift off with this one. Kinda like a daydream 🙂

      1. Daydreams inspire real life and writings, so drift away. 🙂

  2. “Our religion is death, and each time we collide we chase it with all we’ve got.” Such passion and power in death. Yes, why not chase after it. Your words are so visually stimulating and intimately powerful. 🙂
