Made a short video where I discuss the ‘freedom of failure’, and how it enabled me to become a better writer. Well, that’s what I’m hoping for, anyway. There’s also some plugging of the second volume of A Journal for Damned Lovers and talk about my fondness for candles. The second volume is out this Friday, and my favourite type of candle is vanilla scented. Sorted.

Day after day, I draw myself closer to embracing it. I knew I reached a turning point last night when I stayed up even though I was tired and edited a chapter of my book. I told myself not to take myself so serious and get the work done. Ha! Great video man.

I’m SO happy that you bought 3 candles…but still mentioned the 4th. That made my day. I’ve been writing the ‘failure’ blog for a year or so. It’s there amongst my 19 drafts along with ‘My Face Doesn’t Fit’ blog. There was a time when I felt like giving up art, thinking that I’d never have recognition for anything I created and then I realised that I don’t care. I’m actually doing it because I love it. I love writing too, in much the same way. I don’t want to sound too creepy, but meeting you on here and having support from you, has given me the confidence to write and that it’s OK to be me. You know, there is no compliment that comes close to that, and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. Knowing I’ve helped and inspired you has left me in awe. It’s why I do this, and knowing I’ve succeeded, well, nothing comes close. I’ve been where you were, and it’s a rubbish, defeating place to be, but I’m glad we’ve both come through it. Off our own backs, we have persevered when others surely thought we’d call it a day. And that’s priceless x
