YouTube: Spiders/Fear of Flying/Beards/Jesus/Stuff/ Swimming

Made a video. A video of digressions. From a fear of spiders and flying, to visits to childhood swimming pools and the place where Jesus was born. There’s also talk about unrequited love, being rubbish with women, and my lacklustre beard and the subsequent rage it’s instilled in me.

I sniff a new book as well.

  1. Entertaining, your digression and randomness I find entertaining, where others may get frustrated I find it endearing. ‘Stroke a cat. At the end a bit confusing.

  2. It’s a pleasure learning more about you. As a ginger I can relate.being taunted with “I’d rather be dead than red on the head”, I also killed a giant spider with a can of cooking spray. I have finished “Journal” # 2 and wish to congratulate you on a very fine book…I found it addictively good. I hope you are working on #3. x

  3. Loved this. Digression is a wonderful thing.

Your story about the boy who pooped himself at the swimming pool reminded me of the time I peed my pants in a paddle boat on a pond in a local park. I think I was there with the Brownies or maybe a school trip, but I must’ve been about 7 or 8? The girl in the boat with me was angry because I hadn’t gone to the little girl’s room beforehand. I knew that I’d wet myself if I paddled too hard, so she took advantage of that and paddled further out by herself. I couldn’t hold it in…

Her name was Morag (still is, oddly enough) and we’re still friends on Facebook.

  4. I totally understand the flying fear. Me too, man. I just don’t see how a big hunk of metal can move through the air. It’s not natural and therefore apt to fall at any time, I’m sure of it. Oh the fucking stories I could tell. Ugh. As for spiders in the States, well I live in Alaska and that’s one good thing, we don’t really have much for spiders. So maybe visit us?? I enjoyed this video… thanks for sharing.
