get back

girl-1258738_1920

resting my head on her belly

i watch as she touches herself

and smile at what it means to me and

what it means to her

it’s warm outside

warm so gloriously

warm

like honey in the sun or

the bellies of lazy cats sat out in the garden

for hours

and hours and days upon days

the curtains are drawn but the

light shines in anyway

illuminating our play-doh bodies and

as she plays with

it

i stare then kiss her stretch marks

wrapping

my arms around her thighs as i

try

try

try

to get back

  5. We all want something in the past back again, but it’s just not happening, and, by getting too enmeshed into those past relationships or feelings will only, trap ourselves deeper in the false fantasy that life had, become…

    1. For me, in this piece, it was more about going back to the womb, to a state of unbecoming, rather than a particular time of my life.
