I’ve been visiting London since I was a young child and have always loved it. I don’t profess to know it like a local, but I know my way around pretty well. The Scottish cities have a completely different vibe, more contained, are easier to get around. London – on the other hand – is vast, spread out and, at times, terrifying (in a good way).
Because I’ve been to the city a lot, I’ve seen all the sights – the usual touristy stuff like the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace etc. I’ve trailed round most of the Art Galleries – and despite being an ex-art student, I’ve never been into them as much – although I enjoy the occasional exhibition. This month there’s an Illustration Exhibition at Somerset House, which we happened upon when we were walking home after a visit to the theatre one evening. That is my
