In this video, I discuss my reaction to it being four years since the inception of my blog, myredabyss.com
There’s talk about the highs and lows of my writing over those four years, the publication of two volumes A Journal for Damned Lovers, and what the third volume will be like. I also shed some light on what direction I want to take my words, and what the plan is to make this happen.
And there’s the usual digressions and moaning.
I enjoyed this. Sometimes I smile or laugh out loud, the bloody bins! I am still reading Volume 2, yesterday I sat on the porch in the sun and read for over an hour. It’s really good. Congratulations once again on it. Wishing you all the best and much success in the new year SK.

I enjoy your videos, Stephen. It was interesting to hear about your previous poetry and your progression to now, your poetry now. I’ve struggled with this in the past too. I’d never considered myself a proper writer until this last year, not until meeting you and others like you – but I’ve been faffing around on this site for a few years. Instagram is my favourite because it has everything I need to show my creative side. I’ve been on Instagram since 2012, I believe.

It’s a strange journey for all of us, isn’t it? For a lucky few, the road is pretty straight and to the point, but for most, it takes us places we never would have imagined. I’m glad for the experience now, but there were many years when it wasn’t much fun at all. But even then, such unpleasant and unfilling times end up coming of use to us later on, so nothing is wasted in that sense. That’s the beauty of the creative act.
I’ve got two of those tops! I wear them under my dressing gown 🙂 x
